non-erosive reflux disease causing chocking

Posted by danielbanda @danielbanda, Nov 13, 2023

I have been diagnosed with nonerosive reflux disease and last year I have had two incidents in which I could not breathe and someone had to help me with the Heimlich manouver because my lips turned blue and I almost lost consciousness. Can reflux cause these incidents? What can I do apart from taking pantrozal recommended by the doctor?

@danielbanda

I had an endoscopy and they found i have nonerosive reflux disease. Do you know if the colonoscopy includes check of esophagus or there is another test to do it?

Colonoscopy and Endoscopy are two Sep tests . The colonoscopy is for your colon and bowels and maybe some lower intestines.
Endoscopy for esophagus , stomach and a bit further down .
The prep for colonoscopy is the worst part . The endoscopy prep is easy .

Food can back up with acid reflux but have they checked your esophagus?
