Yeast infection in nose and mouth
My daughter has had a yeast infection in her nose and mouth . She has been put on meds twice but then infections come back . So far , they told her to start a yeast free diet for three months and just did blood work , to test for autoimmune diseases . Anyone else experience this?
Thanks so much !

P.S. I rrigate my sinus daily with Neilmed Sinus rinse. It helps keep the mucous down.
Thank You!
This can be challenging to beat back, much less eradicate. I try to think of all the minute organisms inhabiting my body as needing to live together in some kind of optimal balance. I have found that a very, very low-sugar diet (fruit is my main source of carbs) plus eating fermented vegetables (which have beneficial bacteria that compete with the yeast) helps a lot (more so than taking expensive probiotics, which aren’t food…if I eat fermented red cabbage, I get a double bang for my nutrition “buck” because this is a brassica, which helps prevent cancer, which I hope to discourage from returning/metastasizing). Hope this helps. Wishing your daughter well with recovery from this.
As close to no sugar as possible is best for sure. Some of us are yeast breeders. So even though carrots and corn are organic, for me as a yeast breeder they are just sugar. 🙄
