Which Mayo Clinic is best for pancreatic cancer?

Hmmm…interesting question.
Currently I live in Arizona and am being treated at Mayo in Arizona. A truly comprehensive cancer centre. My doctors are brilliant and importantly, truly caring people. The entire staff is amazing, no one ever seems to be having a ‘bad day’. I am very grateful for all they have done and are doing for me.

That being said, having spent time, having had medical care and having had my life saved by the incredible doctors and staff at “Mother Mayo”, the clinic in Rochester, I would be there if my home wasn’t here in Arizona.

If a person doesn’t live near a Mayo campus I would encourage them to consider going to Mayo-Rochester for treatment. It is a truly amazing place.

I would offer that all pancreatic cancer should be considered "advanced."

Based on my understanding of the various pancreatic cancers centers of excellence, and having been involved with my sister's pancreatic cancer battle - Mayo Rochester is (along with. few other places like MSKK, MDA, Johns Hopkins) the place I would relocate to - and, I mean move to Rochester.

I have no firsthand knowledge of Mayo Clinics in Florida and Arizona, but I can vouch for the Mayo Clinic - Rochester. I'm a 75 y.o. guy and former health professional (RN-Paramedic) from the Stone Age who is continually amazed at the delivery, method and high quality of care here in Rochester. As a pancreatic cancer patient here who has received chemotherapy and radiation therapy (as well as one who will have a Whipple surgery in January), I feel like I'm in the right place.
