Here's the dreaded answer - It depends. It depends on the skill of the person doing the injection, whether they exactly "hit the spot". It depends on the extent of the bursitis. It depends on whether you address the underlying cause by doing exercises and stretches to strengthen the muscles around the hip. It depends on whether the hip is badly deteriorated and needs to be replaced.
