I had a steroid injection in my hip 36 hours ago . I am wheezing and short of breath . I am told it cannot be an allergic reaction as it has occurred too long after the injection .I cannot believe it is a coincidence. I have not had breathing problems before. Anyone else had a delayed reaction like this ?

@jillgoode
You definitely could have had a delayed allergic reaction- it happens.
An immediate allergic reaction can be very dangerous and is not that common.
It could be a reaction to the particular steroid injected or it could be a reaction to other components in the injection.
Maybe you can talk to an allergist about this?

@jillgoode yes I had a back injection on the 11th of February, when I got home 2 hrs later I could hardly breathe. Here it is six days later and still having difficulty breathing.

@jillgoode I had a cortisone shot in my hip about a month ago and am still short of breath. They gave me Trelegy & Albuterol and just now discovered Trelegy is a steroid. I am now stopping the Trelegy and hope it helps. The Albuterol does help. Hope you are better.
