Anyone had experience with OsteoStrong, who is not a franchisee?
Has anyone had experience with OsteoStrong? It suggests you will get a large increase in bone density while using their facility 10 minutes per WEEK. Somewhat pricey at $99 and up per month, but am curious if anyone who is NOT a franchisee, has experienced this program?

I was going to Osteostrong in Woodbridge, Toronto, My bones got worse!!!! I was told this not sufficient enough for Osteoporosis. I am so upset. Anyone else have this experience? The owner of the franchise lied over and over. So now I am in bad shape and had to switch course.
You may want to talk with someone with consumer affairs. In the states you could speak to the state attorney general.
Good luck.
I joined OsteoStrong and really liked the facility and the staff, I felt like this would be my answer. Unfortunately when I told my healthcare practitioner, who is an expert in osteoporosis, she pointed me to a YouTube video called OsteoStrong: 3 Things You Should Know.
I was very sad to cancel my membership, but I was scared that I might be injured. I wish you the best on your journey, I would love to be wrong about OsteoStrong.
I joined nine months ago Osteostrong in Ontario Canada. My bones got even worse I’m freaking out, I had to change course immediately.
I decided to cancel after two months. The people there are not health care professionals who can make a clinical assessment about how it might impact my back issues. Wasn't willing to take the risk.
This speaks volumes about the safety of OstroStrong, "The people there are not health care professionals who can make a clinical assessment about how it might impact my back issues."
While the founders, or the corporation, may have the best of intentions and a solid therapeutic plan, once it is placed in the hands of the franchisee, they have little day-to-day control of how it operates. There are many ways the message can get lost in the need to meet financial goals, including accepting people who are too high risk, pushing too hard, untrained or poorly trained staff, poorly calibrated or maintained equipment...
Once again, it is smart to be your own best advocate in choosing the right treatment for you.

PS I went through 3 years of treatment at a Neck and Back Pain clinic without marked improvement, and complaining the whole time that their equipment was not made for my 5'1" size. They just kept "modifying" my plan, when a simple x-ray would have shown the problem was my HIPS which needed to be replaced. My co-pays alone would have been the down payment on a nice car.
Does seem like a lot but compared to the price of some of the drugs. 1500 or so a year seems cheap.
Just curious - your friends who did this program for a year and noticed improvement from osteoporosis to almost out of osteopenia - was this verified by a dexa scan?
I am very interested in this program but would have to drive over an hour to access, so trying to find out as much as I can.
I’m not familiar with that program but my local Y offers women’s weight classes and and instructor told me that several participants said after 2 years their Dexascan showed increase in bone density.
I have osteoporosis. I was referred to Osteostrong by my primary doctor. At my 7-week session, I ruptured my right shoulder rotator cuff while using the standing machine on which you pull upwards on bars with arms at your sides. I did not return to the facility and am being treated by an orthopedic surgeon with PT and injections, so far.
