@peach414144 , Hi Peach : Is bought a knee brace from Walgreens a few years back with velcro straps. Lately both my husband and I had knee pains and he wanted a knee sleeve. I like it better than the brace. Keeps my knee warm.... made with neoprene. Took the nylon with copper knee sleeve back to another store. Found it useless.hugs, Victorious 69.
SPECIAL MESSAGE from the Community Director:
To everyone in the Chronic Pain discussion group.
I have removed 4 posts that were posted late last night. I appreciate that the underlying message of the posts is that group members feel passionately about the support, respect and community found in this group. However the tone of criticizing each other's posts in the name of correcting and protecting our culture of respect was counterproductive.
As stated in the Community Guidelines, "Personal attacks against members or health care providers are not acceptable. Such posts will be removed." (See https://connect.mayoclinic.org/community-guidelines/)
If you have any questions about how this matter was handled, please send me a private message or write to me using this form https://connect.mayoclinic.org/contact-a-community-moderator/
I thank members for returning to the main topic of Chronic Pain and supporting one another as we all navigate our health and wellness journeys together.
With gratitude,

Thanks, @colleenyoung
i thank you. good information.
when i went to Wallgrens for the pneumonia shot my knee (either the RA or the PA) pain got so bad i purchased a knee brace. it helps a tiny bit but something is better than nothing. i requested a knee brace from my doctor when he administered an injection for the painful knee but was told "they really do not work" and was refused same. Medicare does pay for knee braces. by the way, the shot did not work at all. I do give thanks that for now that the knee is the only large pain that i have at this time. I do pray for all of us who are in pain.
