Scar tissue post hip replacement
Hello, I've had two THR on my right side and one on my left. I feel like someone mentioned something about scar tissue being a possible cause but can't find the post. Does anyone have any information on pain from scar tissue? It seems like since I had two incisions it's a possibility. I've gone down so many rabbit holes trying to figure this out and am hoping maybe I've found a cause? I am seeing there's no imaging that can be done to see scar tissue so I'm curious how it was diagnosed? HELP!

Hi lafromli, haven’t checked in awhile. I tried OMT as I said. It did provide some relief but not the lasting nor more thorough relief I am expecting. Next up specialty massage. How did your myofascial massage work for you? Thanks.

I have deep scar tissue as well from a hip replacement but my scar area was cut into 3x in one year. Had a revision then screws taken out. My hip is still so painful from I believe lack of range of motion from the scar tissue. I’ve had cortisone shots, shockwave therapy and Just had prolozone injected on last week to try and break up the scar tissue. Im in more pain than before from that. So frustrating! Any other suggestions to try. I also do acupuncture once a week to help with the pain. The money well is about dry. Help? I would love to hear how others got rid of the scar tissue.
