Thank God You came back.
Thank you for your sacrifice.
Thank you.
I recently retired from 20 years with the Dept of Veterans affairs. It was truly an honor to serve our Veterans.
And, to all Veterans out there, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!
Thanks, @captboat, for sharing what will lighten and uplift us, Sir!
Love,
Joe L

Endless heartfelt thanks to you and your fellow service men & women. It's because of you we are free and safe.
I pray God blesses and keeps you, sir. And I join you in a rousing shout of "God Bless America !" PS: I hope you had a lovely birthday !
@captboat Let me add my thank you for your service, and a belated birthday wish. My load of candles is not as large as @jakedduck1 however :))
Yesterday I sent thank yous to my little sister [4 years Air Force] and bons son [Army, three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan]. I also said "thank you for your service" to every veteran I came across, who were immensely pleased to have someone say it right to their faces.

Hi Captboat!
Thank you for your service and Happy Birthday! We are so lucky in America to have people like you who will fight for this country and our freedom! My 6th great grandfather fought with George Washington in the Revolutionary war, my father in WWII and my husband in Vietnam. Veteran's Day is a day to remember and be thankful for people like you and my relatives! I have my flag out flying proudly! I remember what I was taught in grade school in the 1950's about the flag and it's colors: The white is for our freedom, the red is for the blood our soldiers gave for our freedom, there is a star for each state of the Union and the blue is for God's blue sky. Unfortunately, none of my neighbors flew a flag on Veteran's Day. Ours was the only flag out in the neighborhood.
God bless you and have a wonderful birthday!
