Hello my friend!! I am not taking multivitamin, what are AREDS? I have been on two types of eye drops, one of the three I didn't use because it had the same side effects of the frist eye drop I was taking, Latanoprost0.05% the second one was Lumigan 0.01 % but my eye Dr. wanted me to put it in both eyes twice a day. However when I looked up it clinical study and saw the side effects it had the same one as the Lantanprost, which was itchy eye lids, watery eyes that drained litterally 24/7 burning, sensitive to light, and more, so I didn't use it. Now the third eye drop is Combigan 0.2% which had my eyes loading up with water, the right more than the left. My right eye felt like it was going to burst at any moment, and it felt like a log, straw was in it as well as being sensitive to light. I stopped using it last week, and my eye feels much better, no more sensitivity to light, no more gathering of water in my eyes, they even burned. As I stated before I will be getting a second opinion.

My post that you replied to was written in response to a poster called Mydogsbestfriend, who described side effects he/she was having from takings AREDS supplements. These posts are on a thread entitled “AREDS 2 and Side Effects”. AREDS stands for Age Related Eye Disease Studies, and is the name of the Preservision brand of supplements that doctors recommend for people with age related macular degeneration (and possibly other eye related diseases).
