Aromasin (exemestane)
Anyone taking Aromasin? I've been on anastrozole (Arimidex) which caused severe splitting headaches and was then started on letrozole (Femara). On that I began having severe joint pain in feet wrists, elbows, and worse yet the knees as well as severe fatigue. Oncologist is giving me a 3-week break off and then am to start up on Aromasin. Here we go again!

Get the GoodRX app. It will show you the cost for the same prescription at all the Pharmacies in your area, along with coupons. You don't have to use Walgreens. The new pharmacy can have your prescription transferred.
Thank you maryw28. I have GoodRX app. And it shows Exemestane near the same retail price at most pharmacies. I don’t think my pharmacy has charged my insurance correctly. I know that Medicare covers this, and if not my supplemental insurance should. Thanks for the feedback. I so appreciate everyone on this sight, I don’t feel so alone!
i looked into that drug it is a LOT more expensive than the other drugs. SORRY!! My Doctor was thinking of switching me - because of hand pain, but changed her mind. I also have essential Tremor, and steroids make it so much worse so that was not an option. Going to see a Rheumatologist now. Anastrozole makes arthritis WORSE - in case no one told you guys that.
@kathyomaha55
Kathy - I found my arthritis was so much worse with the anastrozole as well - feet elbows, spine, and hands. The exemestane isn't quite as bad on my joints, but I'm noting bouts of depression every once in a while.
This post is fir Colleen Young.
I posted information about searching for a radiology center, discussing mammos. ABVS Ultrasound and MRIs
I would like to post a followup after undergoing these tests. Information would be very helpful to other women going through the same issues.
Thank you for your help.

@collenp — In case Colleen Young doesn't see this, I'm posting a link to all of your comments, so you can scan them and (hopefully) find the one you're looking for.
I did this by clicking on your user name, which took me to your profile page, and then clicking on COMMENTS (in the left margin). To the best of my knowledge, all users can do this for any user; it's helpful if one wants to read posts by some of the more-knowledgeable users on this site.
