Yes I agree alot to absorb..
I was just diagnosed this year. Kept getting clots in legs, and 1 in my heart after a major surgery. I'm wondering though should I be on Eliquis constantly? As my Hemotologist took me off and I only go on after hospital stays/surgery....Eliquis seems to work but if I get even a small cut I bleed quite a bit ...would love more info/strategies to cope. Ty in advance!
Ps, inherited from my father...
Hi!
I was diagnosed when I was 25 I am now 47. I presented my clots at the time I was diagnosed with Lymphoma. I never had a clot before that. I am also taking Xeralto. If you go to Janssen's website you can get your medication paid for. If you have private insurance you will only need to pay $10.
I avoid large amounts of food containing Vit K. it will counteract your Xeralto as well as the grapefruit and cranberry.
I exercise a lot. Keeping my legs strong has kept any blood clots from forming. However I get the little blood spots around my ankles "Petechiae". I bruise very easily so being aware of your surrounds is important.
