@zygmund

Thank you for your response.
They have now had 14 days to respond, I was told to give them 10 days.
The charges are for a hospital visit, no overnight stay.
Ordered for Neurosurgery and the attending physician is listed as my primary MD who I had not visited for three years.
Which he complained about because he had no updated medical records of mine and said he’d needed to treat me as a new patient.
My Medicare A and B turned down the Hospital billing so I’m being billed for the total.
Personally,, I believe it to be deliberate fund raising scheme for the good Hospital services they stand for.
My age and unusual name is a good setup for raising funds, of which there is never enough. To blame the computer is a perfect cover for failure.
I recall AARP wrote an article some time ago to lookout for Hospital billings because the are known to double bill.
As I see it, with what I know.
It appears that “ trickle down corruption” is infecting our Nation.
As Sir Francis Bacon once wrote “Shitty Shepard, can not be expected to have clean sheep”

@zygmund Armed with your information, I would suggest going in person, if possible, to the billing office and explaining things in a calm and intelligent manner. In my experience when dealing with errors, they are expecting us to get upset and yell. When I just pull out the facts and express myself, they do not have a reason to ignore me.

They probably had to put someone down for the primary doctor, so they used who was in your records. I can certainly understand that frustration, from his and your standpoints!

Please let me know how you fare?
