Parasites in stool?

Hi Debra,

Yes, I did a cologuard test hoping to avoid a colonoscopy as I didn't "clear out" on the last colonoscopy, likely due to my significant redundant colon.

However, that cologuard test came back positive and I had a colonoscopy anyway. My colon was normal. No polyps (I have never had any). They took 3X as long for the colonoscopy (60 mins rather than 20 mins), as they wanted to check as best they could, given that I still had not cleared out my colon, likely due to its redundancy, even with using an amped-up preparation procedure.

For now, I am on a once every three years colonoscopy schedule.

I don't know why my cologuard came back positive. I could guess it was inflammation (a little blood from that) due to my difficult-to-manage IBS-C, but I am not sure.

Thank you for your reply. I'm hoping maybe it was my aspirin or something insufficient that affected the test but going to schedule a colonoscopy tomorrow. I see there's a virtual colonoscopy but don't think that's available in my area

Colonoscopy is scheduled for December 7th. Will let you know how it goes. 😃
