TENS has brought me the most relief. It is a lifesaver when trying to sleep. I only use it when I have it flare up, which is about 50% of the time. If you aren't familiar with the use of TENS, I suggest getting an acupressure of acupuncture chart that shows the nerve points on the body. Place the Tens Transducer in the area causing trouble and the other on the nerve root for that leg, Use the lowest current possible to get relief. Too high of a current will result in muscle soreness. I t is important to get the transducers placed over the nerves involved for the most effective result; experiment with transducer placement, modes, and current settings. TENS with wireless remote controls are readily available at less than $100.
