I was diagnosed with high B6 toxicity 20 months ago. I follow a protocol from a FB group eating the RDA of b6 daily and working on not going under or over it. I’ve recently developed irregular heart beat (I’ve had this is the past), my neuropathy is worse and I am checking out my thyroid. No matter what I eat my face starts tingling. I am really not feeling well.
@proudx Hi, recently going thru the same. My health has had odd stuff my whole life. My recent labs: FB6. 605.2. No that is not a typo. It’s a toxic level of B6. My B12 level is also very high. I noticed a trend in prior labs with consistently low Alk Phos levels. Research indicated that I should check B6. It began. I now know I have Hypophosphotasia. HPP. If you have consistently abnormal low alk phos, have your B6 tested. If very high. Genetic testing confirms dx. It is a metabolic issue. I have been to urgent care, ER, and cardiologist. They all know of no treatment except advice to D/C any vitamins, avoid any B vitamins in foods, energy drinks and anything else.
