@rick3649 Rick, welcome to Connect. I am a cervical spine surgery patient. While we wait for other members to ioin the conversation, would you be able to share your diagnosis? I'm guessing that you may be consulting a surgeon about your options.

rick3649 It all depends on how bad your back is and degree of insult. The newest titanium cages I don’t believe require screws but uncertain. I had my fusion L4-S1 in 1990 and it has progressed greatly since then. I’d stay away from surgery until it was your last resort for pain or stability control.
