How long to heal after stress fractures in foot?
Hello and thanks for reading. I was diagnosed with two stress fractures in my foot (bottom of toes/metatarsal area) 9 weeks ago. I’m seeing a podiatrist, am wearing a boot, and will have a “super Dexa scan” (don’t know the name for this, but the one where they see your trabecular bone) next week and a follow up appointment with my endocrinologist the following week. I’ve had several blood and urine tests after the appointment with my endocrinologist after being diagnosed. At our next appointment we will discuss, among other things, my starting a bone building medication like Tymlos, I’ve had three annual Reclast infusions, which have helped my bones. Wanted to give that background info, but my main question now is for anyone who has experienced similar stress fracture: How long did it take for them to heal? Many thanks again.

About a year, maybe longer.
I have been struggling with two stress fractures in my right foot since June of 2022. It has been incredibly frustrating. I have taken Tymlos and then Evenity. I am finally improving. Best of luck to you.
Thank you. I wish you all the best!
