dear gailb....this doctor is taking away your legal right to make your decision to use mm for pain. however, i think he is worried for you because probably he thinks that mm is the gate way for your taking other drugs. i am also new to this group. i have constant pain with rheumatod and psoriatric arthritis among many other health issues. wearing a boot on the legs, hand braces, etc. about every 6 months or so i will be without pain for about less than a month then it starts all over again. if i take advils which works for me it is bad for my stage 3 kidney failure. BUT, quality of life is also important. and, at 80 years of age what the h... also 2 pinched nerves in cervical spine. getting back to your doctor, he sounds like one of the better ones even though. living in florida i have also experienced the same problem of obtaining mm legally. i am sure we are not the only ones. one thing really gets me, the doctors prescribe percadan and other addictive drugs. and now you see on tv of the misuse of these drugs. don't know what elso to say. except take care. peach
I am doing my best to get MM. I have RA, Sjogren's, Lupus, spinal stenosis, three bulging discs, clinical depression, RLS and PTSD. I do not like to take pain pills, and only take them if in agony. I can not take aspirin or advil as I have had ulcers. I, too, do not understand why one can be prescribed seriously addictive opiod pain medication but can't get MM! The THC is taken out. Many who have tried it where it is legal state it gives them relief from their pain. I am certain the pharmacutical compaines want to keep us all addicted to their expensive pain meds. If something that can help people find relief from pain at a reasonable price, those in power who would loose money will stop it from becoming available. It is all about money, and i am so sick of people I don't even know putting a price tag on my access to good health care!
@artscaping, she's beautiful, and she looks so much like our Keller. They are just a wonderful breed, so loving of everybody. We chose that breed because our son and daughter were around 10 and 12 and there was a constant parade of friends in and out of the house and we wanted a dog that was not intimidating and would be very accepting of everyone and he certainly was. I miss him so much. I wish my husband would consent to us getting another.

dear blindeyepug yes, you have finished what i should have said about the pharmacutical company's and everything else. i have presented this in earlier posts. glad to see there are other people who recognise this. I WONDER WHAT THE DOCTORS USE FOR THEIR PAIN? if you notice, it is 4:18 am, have been awake since 2 am due to pain.
blindeyepug, I think you've hit the nail right on the head. It's Big Pharma that wants to keep us away from MM because, hey, there go THEIR profits. So, sure, they'd like to build up a nice, fat addiction in all of us, and then shake their fingers at us for being opioid addicts. What a bunch of garbage! I'm so sick of greed being king, queen, and emperor of the US!
Hi, blindeyepug. First, sounds more like you have some form of amyloidosis. Second, I will not use MM again. I wrecked my car and nearly broke my leg. So far, I can tolerate the pain, so that's what I am doing. The data shows I only have a few months, so that's just the way it is.
@hazelblumberg Yes, there is so much greed in industry but I think the pharmaceutical companies are ahead of all others when it comes to that. Granted, they do make some good things that help us but what they charge for many of those is ridiculous. Prior to my liver transplant I was prescribed xifaxan. The going price for that is @ $2400 for a one month supply. Thankfully with our insurance we only had to pay @ $750 but that is still too much. We were able to manage the cost but I know many people would not be able to, which is simply unfair.

dear blindeyepug there is an epidemic now because of these pain pills and the media is blaming the people who have become addicts because of these pills. and we the people are being blamed for this. who are they kidding, we are not stupid, we are in pain. you are so right and i stand with you and i am sure many others will agree. BRAVO! .
dear hazelblumberg correct me if i am wrong. years age we experimented on animals. and now i think they outlawed that. if it is so, then i think
THEY ARE EXPERIMENTING ON US. using us as the guinie pigs.
