@boourbonman

I promised you all I would let you know when I got approved for Medical Marijuana. Judi and I did it. We then went down to Edgewater FL. and got two 500 mg bottles. $70 each. So we were suppose to start with 5 drops (each drop is a mg.) three times a day and slowly work up to 10 drops 3 times a day. Do the math. 16 days for $70. We are both at 5 drops 3 times a day and no relief. I sure hope it starts to ease our pain. Will Keep you posted.

MM requires some experimentation. Are you using Indica and not Sativa, or a hybrid?
Do you know the potency levels for THC and CBD in the syrup you are using? I use about 50 mg total per day from several types and depending on my activities. I put 2 tsps of syrup in my morning coffee to prevent pain from rampimg up. Just make sure you don't medicate on an empty stomach. Depending on my activities for the day I use "soothers" (small hard candies) at 10 - 12 mg or a capful of a beverage, or the very best and purist vape oil as necessary. Remember that the vape oil will guve more immediate relief but not last as long. Edibles take longer to have an effect, up to 30 minutes, and last longer. I use topical balms for the Myofasial pain if appropriate. My journey has taken 3 years and I have had to increase the dosage and frequency of use as my pain levels from SFN and Myofasial pain have increased. Without MM my quality of life would be almost negligible. I do not use any conventional drugs other than gabepentin at night. The only other rule, never use MM with any type of alcohol. Good luck. There are options for pain relief available.

Hi Chris-
I just started using MM. Oil in a little bottle with an eyedropper and a cream to smooth on leg and foot where I have CRPS. Is this oil what you describe as "vape" oil. Or are you smoking it? Are you familiar with this eyedropper oil? That seems to work faster for me. But not as good as my meds. I'd love to be able to get off of my meds.

@boourbonman Hoot, I hope you get some relief. Please keep us informed. I don't need this at this time but one never knows what the future may bring.

The vape oil that I use is in a cartridge and distributed with a vape pen. This is not smoking. The oil cartridge gets heated in the vape pen. It works immediately and although it doesn't last as long as an edible...it calms everything down right away. My search for a pure oil without chemicals has finally been successful. Now there is no coughing. I think the eyedropper oil is hemp oil and you can get it on Amazon as well as other places. I seek the advice of medical marijuana professionals. With this vape product, I do get to choose the best strain and/or get the best potency percentages to alleviate the escalating CMPS and SFN. I have two vape pens....one for my purse and one for home. I charge them once a week. Since I have decided not to take any opioids or other medications with side effects, I have worked out a MM regimen that does a good job and improves my quality of life. I also add daily Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness practice. Every day....my mind body connection becomes stronger and has greater control over my symptoms.

Hi @boourbonman, so it sounds like you do not live in Florida. Is that correct? How does it work do you have to get a doctor there first before you can get it? Please let us know if it works. If you don't mind me asking what where you taking before as far as your mess? And where do you live now?

Hi @artscaping, could you tell me which oil I shoul get that I can vape on Amazon?

I use Cobra Premium All-natural Cannabis Oil....for no coughing because it is so pure. I also have Elevate from IVXX. This one works faster but can cause coughing. These are MM products and not available on Amazon.

HI @artscaping, what does MM stand for? Sorry for my ignonorance. I tried looking up the first oil, but had no luck of any way of ordering it. It sounds wonderful. Do you know how I could get either one of these?
Thanks

MM is medical marijuana. You do need a license and/or a prescription. I cannot imagine my life at 75 without it. I would not be able to tolerate the pain. I take no opioids or NSAIDS or any OTC anti inflammatory. I practice Yoga, Meditation, and Mindfulness every day and get a pain release massage once a week. My other comfort is Roxie, my little "love sponge" cavalier.

@artscaping

My other comfort is Sadie, my service dog McNabb. I'm slowly tapering off my pain meds. I'm down from 90mg of Cymbalta to 30mg, and down from 60mg of Morphine sulfate contin to 45mg. I do take some aspirin for arthritis pain in my hands and neck. My therapist recommended that I pause the tapering because I'm going through a stressful time right now, and I need to focus on getting through it, without the added pressure of changing meds.

I also work on being mindful, and spend time each day in Christian meditation. I've never tried Yoga, though one of my sisters told me how helpful it was to her. My physical therapy is working outside with the gardens and landscape, and taking care of our ten acres of pasture. It's not only pt, but is Psychotherapy, as well. And spiritual therapy. I have to admit that it's pretty hard to get moving some days.

Give Roxie a hug from me.

Jim
