My cancer returned after 2 1/2 years: Nervous removal of pancreas

Posted by crickard70 @crickard70, Oct 20, 2023

Needless to say I am so nervous, worse than my first go round. I have contacted pan cam for any trials. Open to any suggestions. Pan cam has my tumor and has tested . Thank you xanex and gummies

My pc has returned and they feel my only hope of the complete removal of the pancreas. Has anyone had this procedure? Very nervous

I think I'm in the same situation as you, but maybe a little worse. I meet with a surgeon on Nov 17th to discuss partial removal of my liver as I have several new tumors, but all located in the right lobe of my liver as well as a new tumor in what's left of my pancreas. I do take enzymes already, but only pills to manage the diabetes which I know will change to insulin after surgery.

I have a ct scan on Monday to look at that artery.
I feel confident at the Cleveland Clinic.
Have you had removal of the pancreas

I met with my surgeon last week and they feel removal of the pancreas and spleen is necessary. All of the cancer is located in the pancreas and hopeful will be cancer free. I will become diabetic and have to take vaccinations probably often. Hoping I will be able to have an insulin pump. Have an appointment with endocrinologist next Monday. My surgeon is Dr. Christopher Seigel at the Cleveland Clinic. He did my Whipple 2 1/2 years ago. I am nervous
