Osteoporosis of the spine and Boniva
Newly diagnosed with osteoporosis of the spine in the lumbar region. Doctor recommended medication. I am on 2nd month of generic Boniva with minimal short term side effects. Anyone with experience with this medication? Long term side effects? Success?

I got fibromyalgia from Boniva. Took it for a few months, and felt worse and worse. Went to Dr, then rheumatologist and both said, Oh well, it must be fibromyalgia, and that was that. I was about to take another dose of Boniva and thought, hey, I'll look at the side effects and there it was: Bone and muscle pain. Told the dr, she said to quit taking it ... I felt better really quickly, but have had a lingering low level of pain ever since. 12 years now.
Any updates on this? Did you have good outcomes with your scores and the medication?
