I would like to add my welcome to @contentandwell's. It sounds like you are dealing with a lot yourself, thank you for sharing your situation with the other members of the Chronic Pain group.
Here are a few conversations taking place on Connect that I think would be worth your time to explore and share with the other members who are experiencing things similar to yourself:
- Caring for someone with dementia/alzheimers, http://mayocl.in/2ccA0jO.
- Falling with Chronic Pain, http://mayocl.in/2oFTY9a (this discussion is about using a walker and living with arthritis, among other things)
We have many members talking about shoulder pain but they are spread across Connect. I would be happy to help you start a new conversation specifically around shoulder injuries so that we could bring members to one location if that is something that interests you. I hope to see more posts from you in the future and I hope these discussions help get you started.
@greenjean269, Hi. It must be very difficult to be the caretaker for your mother. I hope the reassessment will help her.
Just curious, at what age generally do people go to a gerontologist/geriatric doctor?
