Hello,
Yes this is very normal. I had both my hips done in December 2020, 3 weeks apart. I had the numbness for around a year and a half. The pain got better within 6 months. Now I don't even think about the hips. It was the best decision I ever made. I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hips at 47 years old and did the injections until I was 51. That's when I got the surgeries. The hips started feeling great and then the knees went bad and now I'm recovering from double total knee replacements. I'm only 6 and 4 months out of those. It takes time after these surgery for all your nerves to heal so just be patient. I hope this helps.

Did you return to work after your hip replacement?
