I also recently been prescribed trazodone for insomnia. I have only taken it a few times and it does help me sleep a little better but still wake up every few hours. But the next day I am totally off..my head feels really strange and a headache for two days. My Dr. originally gave me Xanax and I had no next day weirdness in my head but dr. says they are not recommended for seniors over 65. That’s when she prescribed the trazodone. I find that Xanax works a lot faster than the trazodone too.
