What's your experience with Vertiflex Superion Implant?

Posted by esperanza22 @esperanza22, Jul 27, 2020

Has anyone had the Veriflex Superion implant. I had it and it did not seem to work for me. Would appreciate any one that has information. Thanks

I am seriously considering this treatment. I have DDD L5S1 with pain in lower back and pain radiates down both legs. Orthepedic surgen recommends fusion, looking at less envasive techniques. I have a appt November 14th for eval for Veritex Superion. Will let you know if it helps.

@ghaddan123 Hello and welcome to Connect. Will you also seek other opinions from spine specialists? If this will be your first introduction to spine surgery getting several opinions is a good idea and once done, you can’t go back. Surgery at the lower end of the spine is a longer and more difficult recovery because you are bearing most of your body weight there. I am a spine surgery patient with a cervical fusion.

I had the vertiflex procedure done on July 14, 2023. I am much worse now than I was. I have read that it is not for severe LSS, Does any on know if this is true?

I just had it three weeks ago, It is in one place. So far the relief I obtained is that when I get up in the morning, I used to buckle under and limp. I still get a pain on my right side like I used to. My foot still gets numb, I thought it would help that, will be going to a foot doctor next week. I have severe spinal stenosis, so I tried this as I will not have surgery. I am going to my doctor in a day or so, will keep u posted. The brochure says not to bend or twist for 6 weeks. Thank you for your post.

I just received the implant 6 days ago. It went from very bad pain to tolerable and now I am feeling much better. I haven't tried walking yet as I know I am not ready. I also know that I received the implant by trained surgeons in this procedure and meet with the Manufacture ie Invertors. All I can say at this time, is I'm hopeful.

From everything that I have researched ahead of time, and I just had the surgery. If you are experiencing pain, only two thing will be associated with it, the implant dislodged, or improper placement. It's your Back, go get the answer's.

I had vertiflex installed at L2/L3 about a year ago. Neutral results altho I believe it will prevent my L2/L3 from worsening without it.. Considering Vertiflex at L3/L4 and the possibly MILD.. I have been diagnosed with severe stenosis at L2/L3 and L3/L4...
