I do have anxiety so the antibiotics made it worse. I’m stopping antibiotics and going for a more natural treatment. I’m still going to nebulize half a vile of Albuterol and a full vile of Saline, used my Aerobika and do the Huff cough even though I can’t get any Sputum up. Has anyone used Mullein Leaf Tea before, I read it is really healthy for the lungs.
For me, it causes terrible stomach issues and awful diarrhea. I could no eat anything on this drug, and forced myself to eat plan pasta and bread all day. When I stopped it, stomach issues and diarrhea gone, and my appetite is back. Worst thing, my pulmo wants me to take it 5 x a week.
Too me I feel like it’s not worth taking the antibiotics and then the MAC can come right back. Too sick to take them, dizziness, stomach upset, no appetite, I don’t want to even smell food, and anxiety. This is my third day being off the antibiotics and I see an improvement but not all the way there yet.
i felt the same way. Stopped antibiotics entirely and the infection came back. .
There seems to be no good solution. It’s very discouraging.
I am beginning again with clorafazamine Rifampin and moxiflacin. Don’t know whether I will tolerate them .
Did you take the Big 3 and for how long. Do you have any natural remedies in mind, and if so what are they? Thank you. I was just diagnosed with MAC
I took it for one month, I was so sick. I got colostrum to build my immune system up, Mullien Weed tea, I like it iced better. I make this shot, one tablespoon of warm water, tablespoon of honey, one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with the mother, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Mullien tea and apple cider vinegar kills MAC

I think it was the build up of all three. Terrible stomach pain, I couldn’t eat, I didn’t even want to smell food. Headache and dizziness. The antibiotics caused by anxiety to go up. My whole body out of wack.
You said "Mullien tea and apple cider vinegar kills MAC" - I'm sure there are several hundred people here who would be excited to hear that.
But, on Mayo Connect we operate on evidence based medicine, so the skeptic in me asks. "Why haven't the experts at Mayo, National Jewish Health, or any other research organization around the world discovered this?"
I know mullein tea has been demonstrated to be helpful for clearing mucus. And I know apple cider vinegar has some disinfectant properties, but I have never heard that this combination kills mycobacteria. Can you point us to any research studies that support that treatment?
Sue
Thank you, Sue, for speaking up on this claim. I couldn't think of a tactful way to say "Balderdash!"
Where do you get the tea?
