I started driving at about 3 weeks post op. Everyone’s recovery is different. I started PT a few days after surgery. I had some soreness and pain for several months after surgery. I didn’t start sleeping on the operative side until about 7 months after surgery. I used tylenol to sleep at night for about 6 weeks. Walking and PT is the best thing you can do to recover. After 6 months, i felt almost back to normal- still working on getting my strength back. Good luck!

Strength takes a while. I was squatting over 200 lbs with my bad hip and now I can barely squat my body weight.

Patience and consistency will pay off.
