Eliquis side effects

I should probably start out by saying I'm in medicine and also married to a Dr, so I do have a good awareness of what is normal and not normal. I had an episode of Atrial Fib (resolved completely for 3.5 months) and was placed on Eliquis 5 mg, twice a day. Within 2 weeks I had a bizarre onset of severe numbness in my toes. A week later I started having muscle spasms all over my body and some weakness too. These spasms are not like the ones you get when you've worked out. They might be in the compartment of my thumb, then my whole hamstring muscle, then in muscles between my ribs, all in the same hour! I was a very healthy and very active person used to exercising daily, so these changes have REALLY been unusual! Another thing I've noticed is that about 2-3 hours after I take the Eliquis, I'm so tired I want to lay down and sleep. Now, I'm a high energy person who NEVER goes to sleep before midnight (and NEVER takes naps!), but for 2 months now I've been falling asleep by 9 pm at night! I'm also laying down for a nap around noon. It's VERY bizarre! Maybe I wouldn't complain as much if it was good sleep at night but I'm jumping up with muscle spasms all night long. They have ruled out other systemic causes of these issues and I finally believe it must be caused by the Eliquis. I don't think this medication is benign as the company is making the Drs believe.

I developed a clot in leg (we think from covid), started eloquis Nov 1 in hospital and within several weeks noticed extreme pain in legs, including knees. I've always been an athlete, rowing, running and now tired, fatigued, and pain is unbearable. Asked Vascular and Hematology Dr.s who say "no cannot be from eloquis".
Why are Dr's so quick to dismiss odd symptoms especially when a patient who's a very active person and cannot even walk. I want to stop taking it since ultrasounds show no clot but they say too soon.
Has anyone noticed leg pain from eloquis?
