I also have follicular lymphoma which was found in a CT Scan which was done when my polyp/ulcer came back cancerous in my Cecum. About the only symptom I have is a shortness of breath. But then again when your told you have two cancers at once. I think this is just maybe a common symptom of a panic attack. They have me on a watch and wait approach for the lymphoma.
Exercise and eat heathy helps our systems fight lymphoma.. Reduce stress too..I boosted my vitamin C to 4000 mg day. We need to keep our immune systems heathy. That helps us to fight the disease. Vitamin D3 our bodies are lacking too. Take walks in the sun..
Hi, I went to have my 6 months cat scan yesterday, it seems like it was over before it begun, but I will not know until tomorrow ; when I see Dr. Anthony how everything looks. I also have the shortness of breath anytime I take a walk with my doggies, but it's necessary. I am a very healthy eater , I sleep a lot and I am trying to do everything they tell me to do. I am having a lot of acid reflux, mostly at the end of the day, I am taking zantac for that, it really calms my stomach down to normal. I hope its all good news tomorrow, I will update you after I know, thanks for keeping in touch. Lacey
I know, I recently heard about it and the stores are not carrying the alive yet, if you go into the website on Ensure, you can print out coupons for $3.00 off for a unit. I have been on Ensure ever since my doctor told me to take it morning and night when I still was going through chemo, now I still take one every morning, plus I eat a healthy diet. Thanks for the thumbs up. Lacey
Doing Excellent might I add. I am 6 month cancer survivor. And Happy to say that catching cancer early is the key to survival.
My Three month check up went well. Perfect Blood work, CEA was perfect and CT Scans looked good per the Hematology DR who is watching my lymphoma. She Said "If they are this good in August again, I can spread out my visits to every 6 months."
My Colon Surgeon who is watching me after my cecum cancer surgery. Said that "my CEA was looked great, which is an excellent sign. That reoccurrence is less than 4 percent they feel. I just need to be checked for polyps. So she coordinated that with the GI department to return in August. She was happy with my blood work and CT scans as well.
I am feeling well enough to work out in the gym 1 1/2 to 2 hours 3 to 5 days week. Plus walk a minimum of 3 to 5 miles a day, when I am not at the gym. I find I feel my best when I am doing a lot of exercising. I think releasing the endorphins increases my energy levels and my overall well being.
Hi Colleen, I thank you for remembering all of us on National Cancer Day, we all want to know someone cares about us, especially when we have gone through a few cat scans and they are looking really good, people seem to think,:" Oh she's back, everything is normal for her again, I'll leave her alone and
not remind her of the bad days" ( that's not a "feeling sorry for myself thing Ha" ) Anyway, hope your doing great and on May 10th I had a cat scan and it came out perfect, no spots, nothing, so I go for another one in 6 months, and if that one is the same, I will only need to go once a year, Yea. Good talking to you again. Stay happy and healthy. Lacey
Hi @lissa welcome to the group.. What kind of NHL do you have? I was diagnosed this past Jan. with Follicular -NHL. I am currently on a watch and wait treatment plan. I have no symptoms other than some swollen lymph nodes in my chest found on a CT scan.
Welcome lissa, you are very encouraging I am" only" in remission since 2015 and its good to hear someone
got there before me. I spoke to a woman the other day who is "clean" for 9 years now, that is wonderful to hear,
as when I was told I had cancer, I thought it was a death sentence, really, really, have I changed my attitude since hearing that , she made my day. Have faith and ask for miracles, they do happen. Lacey

@lacey how did your CT scans go? I had mine done a week ago. So far so good for my first three month checkup.
On this National Cancer Survivors Day, I wanted to wish all of you well and check in to see how you are doing?
Thank You Colleen...
