Do you have an inspiring or favorite quote to share?
I'll start with three quotes from the very inspiring Helen Keller as noted in "Your Year of Healing" book by Amit Sood, MD:
"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it."
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched -- they must be felt with the heart."
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

in reply to @captboat I was taking another look at your quote and was reminded of a quote that I have on my refrigerator. It is from Anne Frank.
Dead People Receive More Flowers Than the Living Ones Because Regret Is Stronger Than Gratitude
No, I am not morbid and have been laughing all day because I turned 62, and in all honesty feel like I have been "reborn." Not "born again." The new Frances is now learning to be kind to herself, just as she has been so kind to others. It took me 30 years to figure this out, and I probably owe it all to my friend Joyce to whom I am caregiver, soon to be stepping back, slowly.
I honor and respect you for your sacrifice as a caregiver.
Please accept my bouquet as an act of my love. God bless you.
in reply to @captboat Hey, I looked at your message and said aloud, "Oh wow." You are something else, my friend, and I thank you
"You can always learn something from anybody.
Don't judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes.
Don't do anything take away a man's dignity. It might be the only thing he has left."
Samuel McCullough Whitesell (1905-1984)
We are born naked, wet and hungry, Then things get worse.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.
A clear conscience is usually the result of a poor memory.
Okay, who stopped the payment on my reality check?
I found this quote in a drawer where I save miscellaneous things. I thought it was quite potent. I have no idea where it came from but here it is.
"Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die."
And, to balance that one out, I just found this one:
"Surely it is much more generous to forgive and remember, than to forgive and forget." - Maria Edgeworth.
Everyone's age today is 2023
Did you know that today the whole
world is of the same age! Today is
a very special day and only happens
once every thousand (1,000) years.
Your age + your year of birth, every
person = 2023.
It's so strange that even experts
can't explain it! You check it out and
see if it's 2023. It has been waiting
for a thousand years!
Captain,
It didn't work for me! I only get 2022 !!!
I added it up on a calculator- twice! And, yes, I remember how old I am. I thought about that, too. haha
I'm a thousand year freak of nature
but my rheumatologist could have told us that already...hahaha!
Oh amazing but maybe should it be
The years you were born and the age yu will be this year?
Mind was 2023 as I just had birthday but one daughter and spouse was 2022 but by end of year will be 2023
Amazing!
Oh just checking this on internet and this is what someone commented :
So it is still very amazing but apparently it happens every year, never knew that.
Quote: . The fact that no matter what age we are if is added with the birth year will equal to the year we are in it’s a mystery. The calculation is correct but the statement is incorrect that it is just his year. End of quote
I have to be the very worst at arithmetic so am not even gonna try figuring out “why” but thanks for pointing this phenomenon out! J.
