I have also suffered from chronic sinusitis and experienced the crackling sensation in my nose. However, in 2013 I started going to a naturopath and take herbs which keep me healthy. The first thing I took was a liver cleanse and I have been free of sinus problems ever since. Maybe you can try this also. Carol
Thank you for your interest.
I was Not diagnosed with "Fugal" sinusitis, just sinusitis, and treated ineffectively with an antibiotic and then a nasal steroid which was too painful to continue after only one use. I believe my condition began as a fungal condition and the reason I think this is because of the nature of the symptoms. There has aways been an "aliveness" for lack of a better term. In the sinus; a gurgling, bubbling, crackling, and expansiveness that caused headache an burning and a thickening and discolored mucus.
After a brief bout with the common cold, those symptoms clearly shifted from the sinus to the throat; the gurgling crackling, burning with certain food intakes, clots of discolored and thickened mucus. My sinus has been completely clear. The spittle that I'm experiencing is an expansive white foam. And on several occasions, while eating white rice, I had what appeared to be an allergic reaction, where my throat began to burn an swell shut until I expelled a stream of spittle.
I have a pet cat that I'm very close too and now, for the past six months, I have been concerned as she is suffering with respiratory problems; sneezing out thick stands of mucus…as if my affliction has passed to her.
I don't know what is understood in this field of fungal infections but I am interested in understanding for myself and the benefit of the broader community.
