Hello @afb760, Welcome to Connect. I know it can't be easy for you but I am really glad that you took the first step. You are not alone in your struggle and I'm sure many others can relate to what you are going through. While we wait for other members to join your discussion, I thought this article may help with some of your questions:
--- Cirrhosis FAQs: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/cirrhosis/multimedia/vid-20532300.
Can you talk to your doctor to see if they have any suggestions on changes you can make that might help?
Thanks so much my first visit will be october 11 so hopefully I can think of questions I can ask for my first visit I just feel there’s so many changes going on
Good to hear that you have an upcoming appointment. I usually try to bring a list of questions with me to appointments that I'm trying to get answered, mostly because I tend to forget to ask sometimes during discussion with the doctor and the list reminds me to ask the questions. Here's some information you might find helpful on planning your conversation with the doctor.

Thanks so much John I live in California would you think if I move to Arizona close to a Mayo Clinic would be helpfull ? For my disease I heard Mayo Clinic was the best for my disease would love to hear your input
Mayo Clinic would certainly be a great choice if possible. You might also want to look into the Mayo Clinic Care Network whose members are able to collaborate with Mayo Clinic specialists and allow you to receive treatment closer to home.

Hi @afb760, I moved your discussion to the Digestive Health group, although there isn't always a one size fits all for cirrhosis as there can be different causes. You may also find the Addiction & Recovery, https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/addiction-recovery/ support group worth exploring as well as many members have talked about alcohol addiction and how to navigate that path as well.
I'd also like to invite, @alexandern, @jlf2 and @halcomstock1942 who have all discussed having cirrhosis of the liver as well.
@afb760, you mentioned you were diagnosed way back in March but have not had any followup since. Do you have any appointments on your schedule with a provider or specialist? Is this something you can call and get on the books?
I have a appointment near my city october 11 but since I live in a rural area I feel I need more of a big hospital I’m only 37 years old and I trying to do the best for me I’ll send you what doctor I’m going to.
@JustinMcClanahan
