I think magnesium is also helpful for leg cramping. There are powders like MellowMag you can mix into water and drink. Almonds are also a good source of magnesium, and there are always electrolyte drinks. I used to get the cramps frequently. I'd get out of bed and flatten my foot on the floor. Now, hardly ever. I've also increased salt intake due to low blood pressure.
