We’re you able to resolve this issue with the VA and get approval? We are in a very similar issue!!

@awworrell @katbear03 This must be SO frustrating for you! Does the VA have a comprehensive medical center that they could refer you to? If not, maybe they could refer him to a hospital in Mayo Clinic’s Care Network. https://www.mayoclinic.org/about-mayo-clinic/care-network/network-members. They have access to all that Mayo offers.
If they won’t refer to a hospital in the Care Network, I agree with @mentonette. She suggests that you speak with the social worker on your husband’s case. Explain that you have no complaints with VA’s care, but that they have been unable to actually help him. You can always say things like: “he has served his country, why can’t his country help him?” (Can you tell I’m also the wife of retired army!)
Can you try one of these suggestion?
P.S. My husband just said to find the local VA service officer and ask for help. His/her job is to help. Any veteran should know or you can google it
