Can PMR (Polymyalgia Rheumatica) be induced by vaccine?

I developed PMR after taking one injection of Evenity. Most painful period of my last life. I struggle every morning

Welcome @5990, I'm sorry to hear you developed PMR after having an injection of Evenity. PMR can be very painful. Have you started any treatment or seen a rheumatologist for the PMR?

Seeing a rheumatologist and receiving hydrocortisone which has helped a little. But my life is on hold because of the pain.

I developed PMR immediately following the Shingrix vaccine. It ruined my life. I’m so angry I took that vaccine.

My pain started getting out of hand when I had to stop anti inflammatory medicine due to a lot bleeding ulcers. My right shoulder and arm was hurting so bad that my doctor gave me some kind of steroid shot in the the back of my shoulder and within 2 days the pain was gone and didn’t hurt for quite a while until I went to Shingles vaccine #2 and I’ve been hurting since and my doctor has attempted the steroids 2 more times with no success . He keeps having to increase the pain medicine.

I joined Health Unlocked (British) which has PMR/GCA support section. They often discuss correlation of vaccines and autoimmune conditions. If you search their archives you'll find much to think about. Probably won't make you very happy; it didn't me. My PMR started after Moderna covid vaccine. Of course it could be a coincidence but for now I'm done with vaccines.

I’m not taking any more mRNA vaccines period. And I’m not taking the flu vaccine until I’ve put PMR behind me.

I can’t be up more than 10 minutes without having to lie down due to the pain. I’m lost as to how to control it. This has taken over my life.
