Hope for treatment auto-immune disease
Did everyone catch this hopeful story about a possible treatment for auto-immune diseases called "inverse vaccine" in the pipeline? It has shown promise in trials with mice, so it won't be out next week, but the mechanism sounds very clever! Check it out.

I did read it and it sounds like an excellent invention/medical science. I would volunteer for a study to find out!

@knyhus . Welcome! That was a very interesting article! Thank you. What autoimmune disease do you have? I have chronic lymphocytic inflammation on the brain. Sounds like the research is aiming at diseases like multiple sclerosis. BTW, how did you find Mayo Clinic Connect?
You're welcome. My diagnosis is polymyalgia rheumatic ("PMR"), and I think I found Connect by searching for "PMR rib pain." It is not listed among the typical symptoms but I have plenty of it, and was wondering whether others did, too. Apparently quite a few of us! Maybe the "typical" needs to be revised.
Thabk you for your welcome to the community, and glad the article was of interest. I studied immunology back in the day and found it fascinating. I also wonder whether I will ever be able to wean myself off prednisone completely, as my symptoms (inckusing rib pain) come back on low doses.
Understood and appreciated!
