CT sinus abnormality Eyes!
I just had a CT of my sinuses because of an acute, long lasting case of sinusitis (probably on top of chronic sinusitis). But I had an incidental finding of soft tissue swelling in one eye with edema. Just wondering if someone else has ever had that happen.

Did the doctor say by chance if you had a pocket of infection in the sinus cavity close to that eye? Prayers & Blessings....
The office left me a message saying they want to see me and can I get a disc of the images. So will do that today. I’ll post some images if you’re interested
You don't need to do that as I would not know what I was looking at! I just remember having a pocket of infection in my sinuses on both sides. They eventually drained on their on and a lot of my sinus stuff got better. Sinus definitely can cause eye issues as I was told by my opthamologist. I'm so sorry you are battling this. Sinus can be chronic, painful & tiring. Praying for you.
Well aren’t you just the sweetest thing. Thank you for your response and you’ve already made me feel better. I have a primary immunodeficiency and I finally went back last week to the university and doctor that originally diagnosed me. I’m likely to go on treatment to boost me into a normal range. If this turns out to be related to my sinusitis that will be another point in getting the right treatment.
Bless you for your sweet response. I've never been diagnosed with Primary Immunodeficiency but my immune system has been compromised for years.....got worse after Covid. I would think this would be why you have chronic sinusitis. I use a sinus rinse daily (NeilMed) to keep the bacteria down and hopefully to prevent another infection. I also use Cromalyn spray (it works differently than Flonase) and Astelizine - Sp? (Prescription) nasal spray for drainage. I am actually going to an Integrative Medicine Doctor and getting IV infusions to boost my puny immune system as of late. I pray that you get better and get some answers. Blessings....
Hi! I’m 14 days post-op sinus extensive surgery. Among other things, I had chronic infection in both of the sphenoid sinus cavities which are the sinuses behind your eyes. It can very much affect your eyes. A few days after surgery, I noticed the severe pressure headaches (it felt like my head was in a vice) and eye and ear pressure were gone.
That’s wonderful to hear About your surgery relieving painful symptoms I’ve had pain above eyebrows and actually all around my eyes and always chalked it up to my severe DDD and resulting surgeries Now I wonder. Apparently my brain MRI for CD showed some opacities in frontal sinuses that the doctor never communicated along with another incidental finding of an empty sella. I happened to see that on the actual report So can you tell me if one side shows no frontal sinus is it clogged and how do they drain it? Last July my eye doctor told me I might have had a fissure from Dacrocystitis? But in the end I got herpes in that eye which I’ve had before
Curious what will go into the infusion but more important I sure hope it makes you feel better and staves off infections
Thank you. I had an infusion 3 weeks ago this coming Tuesday. He put Vitamin C, Glutathione & Zinc in the infusion to boost my immune system. My B12 was already up due to getting injections so that was not added. I'm not sure if he did Vitamin D3 or not....mine's a little low. I had a detox from the infusion for a couple of days and then I felt better. So far, so good. Stay tuned....How are you? Still praying for you.
