@lindac61 I'm so sorry to hear you ended up with Cdiff after taking Clindamycin. That's the same thing that happened to me when I took it for a sinus infection. I took vancomycin for 10 days and within 5 days, Cdiff returned. I then did the vanco pulse and taper for 6 weeks. But after 3 weeks, Cdiff came back. I then did 10 days of Dificid (fidaxamicin) and that was last October. It's a pricey med, but it worked for me. I also take S. Boulardii (Florastor) every day which my GI suggested. I'm in hopes, by now, that my good bacteria has returned the flora in my gut to normal. But I still worry at the least little change in BM's. If I relapse again, I want to do the capsule form FMT. I read the info on the Open Biome web site. Although, I haven't discussed it with my GI. I just thank the good Lord that Dificid seems to have killed the Cdiff spores. It's the one drug that doesn't also kill your good bacteria at the same time.
