3 week pain clinic
Has anyone gone through the 3 week pain clinic? It was recommended for Gastroparesis. It is also $50,000. BCBS turned it down as medically unnecessary. We have filed an appeal. Just wondering if it’s worth it?

I understand about crashing, happens to me all the time if/when I over do it (and half the time I don't even think I'm over-doing something until later when my body tells me afterwards that I did it again, ha!) And I get about how long it'll take your body to recover when doing something as intense (and lengthy - as in 3 weeks) for the PRC program. You'll have to decide if the 'cost' is worth it for you to attend this program. Definitely speak with your doctor about it. And yes, you will need a doctor referral to be admitted into the PRC program (at least that was the case years ago when I went to it). If you are at the point in your life that you are "willing to try anything to improve my quality of life", maybe you just gave yourself the answer you were looking for as to whether you should try and get referred into it. That old childhood saying of "you won't know until you try" comes to mind right now, ha! Good luck with your health and future!
