Rashida my 3rd Gastro PROFESSOR he wanted to start me on 12Wk medication and 67 side effects, then Botox then pacemaker I was drained, hysterically crying at every visit I beg him to admit me into hospital just for fluids, his answer was I don’t hit the criteria and I in between weeks at ER’s and they see my GI name they said I did my residency your with the best GI doc in state Pennsylvania plus he’s a part of Mayo wrote tons of books with other doctors at Mayo in Jacksonville I told him I know all about you, but insane how Docs, wouldn’t come near me one GI told me to go buy bigger size clothing I wrote her and gave her a piece of my mind and no one was telling me what is wrong with me. After my gallbladder surgery post op appt I gained 10lbs instantly rush to cardiologists everything was fine, so the Professor I had my appointments I was carrying fluid then I was given meds for that but nothing helped I was begging help me. He told me yes your in malnutrition which I knew that my skin rashes omg so much to handle then I called my lawyer bc my son died in 2013 I never tell any doctor bc they play that card it’s his death ! So i can’t lie I jumped off table went after one doc and I told this doc in Atlanta DO NOT BRING UP MY SON ! He said I was reading I said listen I’ll beat anyone up that blames my son while Docs take an oath to help people, So I said it’s over I went to John Hopkins to NYU I was in every state every direction from Phila. Rashida go on YouTube and watch Danielle’s Story, it’s about Gastro Parisis and G-Poem but I was researching bc I knew in Philadelphia they push the meds, Botox, and Pacemaker and NO SHOT I SAID NOT HAPPENING. There’s only 124 surgeons in USA that do G-Poem let me tell this entire blog I research everything bc my son had mental illness and I flew him half around the world to save him and he took his life 10 yrs ago as my husband did in 1986 my son had the gene, my daughter doesn’t So our medical system in USA they don’t want to help or offer new treatments bc the insurance companies an manufacturers an doctors all work hand in hand enough money for all so why offer a surgery that can cure a non curable disease? This is why I argue with my doctors bc I know the truth my primary said no one is getting over you, ABSOLUTELY NOT! Your GI may not do it this doc in Atlanta Dr.Aryia does many different GI surgeries, and I googled and found some in Indiana, Florida, Cleveland etc but he had close to 1,000 reviews and I said this is him, plus his bio was unbelievable, I had a telehealth zoom call he had my results from stomach emptying test and he said ok this is how it works, I need to do an endoscopy on you I take biopsies I have to see if your a candidate I said ok, my daughter said to him can my mom get the scope in Philadelphia he said no bc all GI docs are different and if you don’t know how to do GPoem they won’t know what to look for so she has to come to Atlanta I said I’ll be there he was amazing beautiful bedside manner my assistant anesthesiologist wanted to argue with me bc I ask the head
Anesthesiologist if I can have zofran I have to when I go under so the assistant was so rude his entire team was ready I wasn’t going under and the oxygen mask was so big it kept falling down or only one side was on my face Dr.Ayria said back away from her he fixed my mask and my hair he spoke to my daughter I absolutely love him so all my specialists in Phila I TOLD THEM GET LOST except 1 from NYU. Watch the video and I actually called John Hopkins and the doctor that does it he’s booked till 2024 so I was like I’m going to Atlanta!

I hear you @phillybomber!

Unfortunately I live in Canada where we have government run insurance. There is a serious shortages of doctors in Ontario and even if there weren’t, we cannot get a specialist without a referral from a GP - who will only refer you if he/she thinks you should see one. Of course, the GP knows an “unwarranted” referral means the government t insurance plan will not pay for it; so in effect the GP’s hands are tied too.

I hear you too about doctors blaming another condition or situation in your life if they cannot figure out what’s wrong with you. Been there - many, many times!
