← Return to Developed a Seroma after surgery that didn’t go away on its own?

@mchler73

I had my ultrasound and the Seroma is 2cm. My surgeon will remove it and then take out more tissue. Surgery is Thursday.

The gal who did the ultrasound said there is some calcification at the edge. I hoping it just means there is healing going on but am waiting for my surgeon to call and go over it with me.

Anyone have any knowledge about calcification and what it could mean?
Thanks!

I also had a seroma that would not go away with simple syringe extraction. I had to go to interventional radiology and have a drain inserted into the seroma for about 10 days. I went back, it was removed and had no problem after that. Don’t know about meaning of calcifications.
