Barrett's esophagus to Esophageal cancer
I have had Barrett's esophagus for several years. I take Omeprazole on a daily basis. It's been about two years since my last endoscopy procedure and I am scheduled for another in April. My Barrett's symptoms have been worse than usual and I wonder how long it takes to transition to Esophageal cancer?

I disagree , I dint give up any of that ,i cut back on dairy products and pop thats about it . Since having surgery a year ago , I’ve had acid reflex ONCE , ist been a year since surgery …
Were all trying to avoid surgery by going on a low acid diet. You can eat or drink whatever you want, Its your body.
Good luck with the endoscopy. They will put a treatment plan in place and take care of whatever they find. The advice above is good to start regardless of the diagnosis. Low acid high alkaline is an easy transition that will just make you feel better.
