My new normal here to stay: 3 years out colon re-section surgery

About 15 months ago I had 10 inches of my colon removed due to a cancerous tumor. After surgery I was left with very little control over urinating and bowel movement. Several months ago I bought and used over the counter anti diarrhea tablets at the local Walmart store. They have been a God send for me. I now feel like I have a life again. The first box of tablets I bought were the Walmart brand, Equate but I have also bought and used a brand called Quality Plus which reads as Anti-Diarrheal.

@eom I'm happy to hear that the Anti-Diarrheal medicine provided some relief for you.
I know exactly how you feel? I too have trouble in the urinary department ever since I had
my surgery! I had cancer at the very end of my sigmoid colon along with a huge polyp in my entire anus and rectun. I had what's called an ABDOMINAL PERINEAL RESECTION. You're
probably saying OH MY GOODNESS, yes you are right! However, I still get to lead my life with the concept of H-O- P- E!!! HELPING - OTHER - PEOPLE - EVERYWHERE!! That is what makes ME want to get up every morning. Knowing that I may have the opportunity to help someone somewhere?
