I think we’re describing 2 different situations here.

Post nasal drip happens when there is a steady drip from up in your sinuses over your nose usually. It drips down the back of your throat. That typically gets swallowed, however it makes you cough.

The other annoying situation is having thick mucus coming up out of your chest so you have to spit or blow you nose to get rid of it.

Hi. Actually, I don't know how I described it, but it does come from my sinuses and goes down the back of my throat. I refuse to swallow it. Coughing, though, doesn't usually bring it up.. trapped in my nose/throat area it seems. Fortunately that Blexten is working for me.. I'm thrilled. I hope you find something for your situation as well.
