Unfortunately, Blexten (bilastine plus monteleukast) is a prescription medication not approved in the US; it is available in Canada and Europe.

There are other antihistamines available, though. Azelastine (name brand Astepro, generic available) is an antihistamine nasal spray used twice a day. There are prescription and over the counter versions. My husband has been clearing his throat constantly for over 50 years due to postnasal drip/sinus drainage. He tried this for seasonal allergies to try to get off the 3 or more antihistamine meds he was taking daily. Not only did it work for the allergies, he has quit clearing his throat completely.

TY for this info. I am on the Azelastine spray. I'm so thankful it works for your husband....not so much for me. Blessings....

I'm so glad your husband found a solution... it's taken me 79 years!!! LOL I didn't realize Blexten isn't available in the U.S. It works like a charm. I have Omnaris as well, but it doesn't seem to do anything, nor did the antihistamine .. ceterazine. It's just heavenly to sleep through the night and wake up feeling human. Does your husband have asthma? Seems I have 'episodic' asthma.. triggered by various things. By the way... Blexten is in pill form.
