Ok, but for starters, this is not just to lower my platelets. Some is post-menopause and to keep my height of only 5' tall!

I take a multiple and add extra C, D3 and a K2, boron, also Zinc during cold and flu season, Probiotics daily, Resveratrol, and a few more combination supplements. Nattokinese was added by my heme doc, now taking it twice a day. Each time my blood is tested, my doc decides if he needs to adjust the dosage based on my numbers. I take more Vit D in the winter (10,000 mg/day when I'm in Michigan, but none when I'm vacationing in FL as my levels stay in the 80's when I'm there).

This is what works for me - but please, please work with your doc! I wasn't absorbing the D3 (levels below 40) until he added K2. Does everyone need K2? I don't know and I wouldn't want to guess. Vit D is necessary, but too much is not good either. I once went over 100 (when I was in FL for a month and out in the sunshine daily), so I was told not to take any while I was there.

One more thing - whatever you choose to take, be sure to tell your doc. And if your primary puts you on supplements, tell your heme doc and vice versa. You can take mega does of Vit C and you'll pee out the extra - no real harm. But others, like Vit D can be too much and throw something else out of balance.

Are you taking vitamin D3, and if so what dosage? Thank you!
