Anyone on Pluvicto (Lu 177), a new drug for prostate cancer?
My close friend has had Pluvecto treatment suggested to him by oncologists. It is relatively new, having been approved by the FDA in March 2022. Have any of you been given this drug? I have read it is radioactive material and patient needs to stay away 6 ft from others for at least 3 days so as not to contaminate them. He has not yet decided whether to take the treatment or not as he is feeling awful enough as is.

Hello @digger. You will notice I have moved your post on Pluvecto into an existing discussion that you can now find here:

I did this to allow you to connect with members like @hbp @melcanada @stonewalker and @dwpoole.
Have you heard back on your test results?
I have scans on July 5 which I hope show improvement.
My PSA also rose after two treatments. My oncologist and I decided the Pluvicto was not working and cancelled further treatments. Two weeks later my PSA plummeted from 37.6 to 7.2 and then three days later to 5.4
We're back on the Pluvicto treatment schedule.
I will say that the second dose caused me much major discomfort in my GI tract. My bowels and bladder were hard to empty for days. Managed to get past it, but I did think I was finished at that point. Depression, as we all know, is too real now.
My best wishes and prayers to all my comrades out there and their caretakers.

Amanda How do I link back into Stage 4 PC tracks
For anyone plugged up... check with your doctor or pharmacist and try taking Magnesium Glycinate a couple times a day and night and it will bring fluid into your digestive tract and help you eliminate.
Also, check out herbdoc.com Intestinal formula 1 which will help your digestive muscles contract and push the goodies out.
Could be Tumor Flare. Seems MCRPC doesn't like being attacked. I will report my Pluvicto process.
Can anyone give feedback on how Pluvicto treatment response is being determined? is it MRI, CT, a PSMA PET scan with F-18 or G-68 agent? If with PSMA PET, has insurance been covering it? Cost is a concern. thanks
