Esophageal cancer: How do you manage gastro and swallowing effects?

For what it's worth, when I was first diagnosed with esophageal cancer this past March, I was told that chemo, radiation, and surgery would be necessary, However within a couple of weeks and 2 additional consultations with other surgeons and oncologists within the Mayo System, surgery was ruled OUT, due to my age and possible heart issues. I went through the chemo and 5 weeks of radiation (daily), as well as my at home Hydrogen Therapy. In mid August, after another scheduled endoscopy and biopsy, I was told that the tumor was totally gone, and at least for now, I was cancer free. In this first week of September, I am now able to eat and swallow almost as well as I could before the tumor existed. My tumor was at the junction of my esophagus and top of my stomach, totally blocking the passage of any food or liquid. I attribute the success that I have had thus far to the combination of Chemo, Radiation, and Hydrogen Therapy, with NO surgery.

Hydrogen Therapy? Who does that? Mayo Clinic? It would be worth checking into.
After 2 weeks of Chemo and radiation I feel fine. Eating normal no swallowing problems.
I heard of proton therapy and one person used a holistic approach, No chemo, No radiation, No surgery.

I would like to hear more about that as well .

Mayo does not offer Hydrogen Therapy. I did a lot of internet searching before ordering a Hydrogen generating machine from Eagle Research.com. I highly recommend that you go online and do your own research in regards to the effect that Hydrogen Therapy has on Cancer victims. The machine that I have was ordered several years before I was diagnosed with cancer. It has provided MANY other healing benefits for me. I used to suffer from arthritic pain, but my morning 1.5 hours of Hydrogen inhalation provides 24 hours of total pain relief. I had been on high blood pressure medication for YEARS. After 2 weeks of Hydrogen inhalation I no longer needed my meds. This was 5 years ago. At about the same time, I was diagnosed with a cataract on my right eye, and was told at it's present rate of growth that I would need surgery within a year. Since beginning my daily Hydrogen inhalation, my cataract has not grown at all in the past 5 years, and I still do not need the surgery. These are just a few of the added benefits that I have experienced as a result of inhaling Hydrogen. From eveything I have read from the scientific community in this country, it is now accepted that Hydrogen used in combination with chemo and radiation does aid in the shrinking and possible elimination of tumors. They claim they need more time and research to determine if Hydrogen "alone" can or does have the same effect.

I have No experience with Proton therapy.

After purchasing the machine mentioned for $2,500.00, I built 2 less elaborate Hydrogen Generators for less than $100.00 each. I am sure that with the inflationary period we are going through, that they would now probably cost around $125.00 to $150.00 to build. Both function as well as my expensive machine, but are not as eye pleasing. If you would like for me to send you the information and photos of how to build one yourself please contact me through my private message and I will gladly send them to you. The ones that I built were made using 2 inch PVC tubing and caps, and 2 inch round 316L stainless steel plates. cut for me at a local machine shop. You will need access to a miter box and saw, either electric or manual. A drill press and bench vise would be almost a necessity. Maintenance of the machines is minimal. Depending on their storage size, they do need to be refilled with distilled water after varying hours of operation. They do need to be internally cleaned and refilled with NaOH (sodium hydroxide) and distilled water once a year. The cleaning process is relatively simple and uses iodized salt and tap water for the cleansing. I will take photos of both the machine I purchased, and one of the ones I built, and post them later.

Thank you for your response. I'm deathly afraid of having surgery. What's has people experienced with this? I just don't want to be on tubes the rest of my life.

The success rate of removing all the cancer is pretty good. What about relapses? The dieting doesn't bother me. I'm a European trained dietetic chef, I can help others.
