Exactly! Once I realized that it was actually getting worse over the previous 3 years, I decided I can't just give up and accept it for the rest of my life especially if there was an option to do something about it!

Surgery is scheduled for next week. I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks for your support.

Good morning Suzemn. I had the vitrectomy on this past Thursday. I am deeming it a TOTAL success. Had a follow up visit yesterday and the doc has agreed. All went well. I am being religious about using the eye drops and keeping my head above my waist as bending over places too much pressure in the eyes and can cause a detached retina. I vacillated about having this surgery. Your report of a positive outcome gave me the courage to proceed. I want you to know how much I appreciate that you took the time to tell me of your experience. Best wishes for good health and a happy life.
